Every brightening treatment starts with clean skin. We use the Melafadin Cleanser to remove makeup, oil and surface impurities while introducing the first brightening actives of the treatment. This is followed by the Melafadin Toner, which rebalances the skin after cleansing and sends a second wave of pigment-regulating ingredients into the skin, including white mulberry and SORR plant extract. Two minutes in, and your skin is already working on its tone.

Pigment sits in the skin cells. Some of it has already made its way to the surface, trapped in dead cells that haven't shed. The Skin Refining Enzyme Peel dissolves this build-up gently, without grains, scrubbing or aggressive acids. We leave it to work for five minutes.

Removing this layer does two things. It lifts away cells carrying visible pigment, and it clears the way for the active concentrate that follows. Skin feels smoother, looks clearer and is ready to absorb.

This is the core of the treatment. We use a full 4 ml of the 2-Phase Melafadin Concentrate, Janssen's most intensive brightening formula. It is kept as two separate phases until the moment of use, so the vitamin C stays fresh and fully active.

It works on pigment in four different ways:

Vitamin C phosphate — a stabilised form of vitamin C that converts to active vitamin C inside the skin and interrupts the final stage of melanin formation.

Lipoamino acid — blocks the signal that tells pigment cells to start producing melanin in the first place.

White mulberry root extract — inhibits tyrosinase, the key enzyme in melanin production, and holds it in its inactive form.

SORR plant extract — stops pigment from being passed from the pigment cells into the surrounding skin cells, while calming and protecting the skin with antioxidants.

Four mechanisms, one formula. Instead of relying on a single ingredient, it addresses pigmentation from signal to surface.

Electroporation is where this facial separates itself from a standard brightening treatment. For 30 minutes, we work the concentrate into the skin using a needle-free electroporation device.

The technology uses controlled electrical pulses to temporarily open microscopic pathways in the skin. Water-based active ingredients, which normally struggle to pass through the skin's protective barrier, can travel far deeper than they would with hands or a brush alone. No needles, no puncturing, no redness.

We use a large head across the cheeks and neck, where pigment often concentrates, and a small precision head around the eyes and forehead. Every area gets targeted attention. Most clients describe the sensation as a light tingle, or nothing at all.

Next, we apply the Botanica White peel-off mask. It sets on the skin, seals in the actives from the infusion and delivers a final layer of brightening and hydration. When it's lifted away, the skin underneath is calm, cool and visibly clearer.

While the mask works, you can choose a 10-minute scalp massage or a hand and arm massage with nourishing hand cream. A proper pause in the middle of a results-driven treatment.

Once the mask is removed, we apply the Dark Circle Eye Cream to brighten and support the delicate skin around the eyes. To finish, we apply Brightening Day Protection with SPF 20 for daytime appointments, or Brightening Night Care for evening appointments. A warm towel and a shoulder release close the treatment.

Brightening and sun protection go together. Pigment treatment only works long-term if the skin is protected from the UV exposure that triggers it, so your therapist will talk you through daily SPF and home care before you leave.
